Spiderwick

The kids favorite thing to play together these days is Spiderwick Chronicles. They dressed up and made a sign and asked me to take their picture for the blog, so here it is. Ashley and Sami are pixies. Jon is Thimbletack the brownie/boggart.

Cutest kids ever!! That is so funny. We still haven't seen Spiderwick but it is in the plans soon.

You are nice. The can be pretty cute I must say. Spiderwick is good, but it is total fantasy, which is right up my kids' alley but is not for every kid.

What is Spiderwick and what is the significance of the hula-hoop?

Kids look cute!

Spiderwick is a series of books and has been made into a movie. The hula-hoop represents the protective ring of toadstools around the Spiderwick house that keeps the goblins out.

I heard the movie might be a bit scary for little kids...any thoughts?

It can be pretty scary in places. The first time we saw it, it made Sami cry. Jon thought it was a little scary, but he likes that, so he loved it. You might want to watch it first and then let the boys see it. It isn't so bad that you wouldn't enjoy watching it.
