Next Assignment

I heard from Trent, and though we don't yet have orders, we have his next assignment. He will be going to work at Coast Guard Headquarters, so this Warner family is headed to the general Washington D.C. area this summer.

Good for Trent's career, but tough on the kids. But I am sure they will adapt and make new friends. I am sure everyone will adapt and settle in, just in time for the next assignment ;-)

Thanks Papou. I am both nervous and a little excited. We have tried to make the most of every place we go, and we have been very fortunate to make good friends all along the way. This move feels enormous somehow, but there are lots of great things to do in that area that is for sure.

While I wouldn't feel comfortable living in Washington D.C. I did enjoy my visit there. I personally could have spent a few hundred hours just visiting the Smithsonian. The Metro system that was there when I was is amazing and the little shuttles to go between historic sites a real saver. Enjoy and the best of everthing with this new move.linitest

I'm so excited for you! What a great place -- do you know how long you'll be there? So many fun things to do and see and experience -- especially, of course, for history buffs such as yourselves. I know you'll make the most of it. I know, too, that the Rivanna Ward will certainly miss you guys!
